Provide Pet Housing

We understand that, just like people, outside pets are affected by the rain, heat, cold, and wind. Whether they live outside, or are out for several hours per day, it is important that pets have shelter from the elements. We are working to be able to provide pet houses to those who cannot afford to purchase them on their own.

What should a pet house provide?

  • Size: It should be large enough for the pet to stand up and turn around.

  • Elevation: It should be slightly off the ground help keep it from being too cold during the winter.

  • Insulation: A house should offer some insulation to help keep it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

  • Ventilation: The door is likely enough ventilation, but the pet should have plenty of room to move and breath.
